Miami: Julio Le Parc Exhibition
Though he was born in Argentina, Julio Le Parc began his kinetic art career in Paris, and was a founding member of the artist collective Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visual. His innovations in using movement, light and perception led the way in kinetic art (art that contains movement perceived by the viewer or depends on motion for its effect). Using art as an impetus for social empowerment raised his oeuvre and influence. More than 100 works can be experienced visually and physically, including his labyrinth installations which are being displayed for the first time in the US.
