Maison la Cerisaie
Maison La Cerisaie in Sixt Fer à Cheval, is a beautifully renovated 1830s stone farmhouse, located amidst stunning Alpine scenery in one of France’s best ski areas and most picturesque villages, only 75 minutes from Geneva Airport.
Sixt Fer à Cheval is listed as one of “les plus beaux villages de France” and is in an area of outstanding natural beauty adjoining the Chamonix Valley and the border with Switzerland. Winter and summer, it offers every form of Alpine and outdoor activity. Its extensive linked ski area, Le Grand Massif, is France’s fourth largest. There are 265 km of scenic pistes for every standard of skier or snowboarder, complemented by a variety of challenging off-piste terrain. The area is also at the heart of a vast network of hiking and mountain-biking trails.
Maison La Cerisaie has been recently renovated to the highest modern standards, combining traditional Alpine charm with contemporary design and original art. The result is the epitome of “hygge”. There are 4 comfortable ensuite bedrooms and spacious living and dining areas centred around a superb wood-burning stove. Outside there is a garden terrace and a large hot tub with fabulous mountain views.
Maison La Cerisaie is managed by the owners themselves, Sally-Anne and Simon Airey. In winter, it is available either as a luxury catered ski chalet, or to rent on a self-catered basis. During the other seasons of the year, you have the options of self-catered rental or bed and breakfast.
