Logis du Paradis
Le Logis du Paradis, a lovely old complex of buildings from 1712, including its former Cognac distillery bar, is built around a large, enclosed, classic Charentais courtyard. It is near the small river Né and in the midst of the vines of the Grande Champagne Cognac region.
A renovated 18th-century wing provides 5 highly comfortable and spacious chambre d’hotes with en-suite bathrooms.
Both in the bed and breakfast and the cottages, the bedrooms consist of master and double sizes with en-suite availability in all the rooms. There are also options to book a twin room if you are looking for something smaller and cosier.
See the slideshow below for some of the many rooms that you can book:
Logis du Paradis are happy to recommend and make reservations for you at local restaurants should you wish. Alternatively, they do also provide a four-course candle-lit dinner on the terrace under the stars or in our guest dining room (a 24-hour notice is required).
There are assorted inflatables and water toys for the children. The pool garden has a doorway through into the walled park as well as an entrance into the private bar area. Access to the pool garden is restricted for the security of children via locked gates. The pool garden is available for evening meals and BBQ’s during the summer.
Within the courtyard, there are three luxury self-catering cottages, an outdoor heated swimming pool and walled gardens.
Maison Perroquet Cottage
Walk into the open plan dining room, and follow it into the superbly equipped kitchen or sit yourself at the breakfast bar – all in one room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a separate wine fridge and stereo! There is also a small shower and WC on ground floor. There is a cosy living space with a large flat screen television (French and English channels available) and make it even homier by lighting up the double aspect stone fireplace. All with tiled floors.
Bee House – La Maison des Abeilles
Situated at the far end of the big courtyard, this cottage sleeps 7 in three bedrooms. You can also enjoy the guarantee of witnessing stunning sunsets every evening.
This converted barn has a story behind it… it used to house a swarm of bees, which were collected and put into a hive in the park! Le Logis du Paradis benefits from the hive and extract their own delicious lime and lavender honey for guests to enjoy as part of their breakfast.
This south-west facing terrace overlooks the 3 acres of sloping “parc”, with its two avenues of trees, meadow, tree house and children’s play area (discover the tree-house, swing and sporting sets for some competitive play), and views over the walls to the hills beyond.
