A quitenssential village location, near Bergerac, Dordogne

Built-in 1800 from local yellow sandstone, the house is one of the largest and most important of the village. Located in the very heart of the village on a quiet, narrow street with splendid views of an extraordinary château, historic village buildings and the surrounding green countryside.

The house has been carefully restored to bring out the best of its early nineteenth-century features. From the high ceilings, Italian marble floors to the magnificent wooden staircase that lead you to the second floor, the villa is a sophisticated masterpiece that has been lovingly decorated for a luxurious stay.

An exquisite garden where you can basque under the sun and enjoy the gentle breeze

The rear of the property is a large stone terrace (here, you can also dine al fresco) with full exposure to the sun, but with plenty of awnings for shade as required. The classic sandstone and tile of the villa’s exterior feel like a step back in time. Stone steps lead up to the flower gardens, stocked with dozens of roses, hibiscus and even a small orchard. Behind all this is open countryside and the rear of the property is completely private and not over-looked from any side.

Spacious, comfortable bedrooms and living areas

Between the main house and the annexe, up to 10 guests can enjoy an escape at this sophisticated villa. The main house offers four large bedrooms (sleeps eight guests) which either feature an en-suite bathroom or a shared shower-room.

The annexe is a beautifully furnished one-bedroom cottage for two, with its own separate entrance from the main house. It has a double bedroom, shower room and an open plan area for the kitchen and living room.
