Ferme de Banoville
On the site of a medieval abbey and Knights Templar pilgrim route we are situated on the Normandy Cotentin Peninsular, Ferme de Banoville is a little piece of calm, we keep sheep, chickens, bees and run cookery courses on our farm. I grow flowers to make handtied bouquets & cut flowers. We have a willow plantation that provides a sustainable source of firewood! It’s now home to ‘The English Cake Company In Normandy,’ selling homemade cakes, cupcakes & ‘pop-up’ tea room (during August).
There are lots of original features, such as an old boulangerie and a Templar cross, that marks the old pilgrim route. We are about 15 minutes from both the beautiful rugged Cornish style west and tranquil dunes of the east coast and 20 minutes from the ferry terminal at Cherbourg. We are ideally situated to explore the D-Day landing beaches and many other attractions, such as The Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St. Michel or simply explore the beautiful coasts, seafood, cider and cheese!
