Le Dôme du Marais

Although the magnificent glass dome above the dining room may make it hard to believe, this restaurant in the Marais long ago was a pawnshop. Now, following a recent change in management, it’s become a very good and very useful address for summer dining. Not only is it open seven days a week, but the seasonal menu is ideal for warm-weather dining. Start with sea bream tartare with lime and ginger or a delightful cold pea soup, and then tuck into main courses like grilled sole with potato purée or Thai-style beef with steamed rice. Desserts are terrific, including a cheesecake with a speculoos (Belgian spice cookie) crust and raspberry tart with champagne gelée.

53 bis rue des Francs Bourgeois, 4th,

Lunch: plat du jour €19, two courses €26; Sunday brunch €25; à la carte €45; average price for wine €35. Prices are approximate, per person without wine.
