Take a Break

Take a Break

France’s young, witty and irreverent 5.5 Designers have done their own take on the French Open at Roland Garros, with their new “Three Sets” combo, turning a tennis-ball tube into an “Ace” carafe with matching glasses, a scoreboard into a “15-30” memo board and a tennis racquet into a stool called “Break”, corded using a special technique developed by the French Open’s official corder Laurent Lucas.

Founded in 2003 and based in Paris, the 5.5 Designers are in fact only four: Vincent Baranger, Jean-Sébastien Blanc, Anthony Lebossé and Claire Renard.
