Good news for style-conscious men: Le Bon Marché, the upscale Left Bank department store, has greatly expanded its Balthazar men’s department, which now includes a second floor. One of the new highlights is a seriously stylish shoe boutique with the latest designer footwear from Prada, J.M. Weston, Pierre Hardy and Marc Jacobs. Cutting-edge labels have been added on the fashion rails, too, with the arrival of menswear collections from Balenciaga, Missoni, Rick Owens and Ann Demeulemeester. British dandy Paul Smith has a snazzy popup boutique showcasing city-slick suits, bowler hats and an exclusive range of eye-catching luggage. Among the limited-edition objects on sale at the new Balthazar are a trio of Moleskine notebooks, a Ruby motorbike helmet and a customized Hector Saxe backgammon board.
