Arc 1950 Tableau

Why Arc 1950?

Arc 1950 is one of the most welcoming mountain resort villages. Car free, it offers families with young skiers the safest of environments to take your little ones too. All cars park ‘under’ the village in designated car parks making it completely ski-in-ski-out with no need to worry about traffic.

What happens when we are there?

Of course you can ski, the area is vast -over 425 km of slopes -but what makes Arc 1950 stand out is its extensive programme of activities every week of the season, winter and summer. The calendar of events will keep everyone entertained no matter what age. From film festivals, to night sledging and skiing to freeride and freestyle weeks, Carnival, fashion and St Patrick weeks. So much to be had season-long.

As its name implies, Arc 1950 sits over 1950 metres above sea level so it offers a snowsure winter whether you visit over February half term, or later in the Spring. The skiing reaches up to 3250m in height with the full mix of glacier skiing, forest runs for shelter, groomed runs and fun parks.

Where will we stay?

Arc 1950 is made up of a series of 5* residences, each with its own character and all positioned to have easy access to the village centre, to the slopes and to the views of Mont Blanc. New flexible arrivals mean you can stay any length of time and avoid the peak day rush. Relax during apres-ski in the 1000m2 Deep Nature spa (without your children) or the heated pool, sauna or Turkish baths.

What else can I do there?

If you have any energy left after a day on the slopes, you can try ski-joering; dog sledding; wild skidoo outings; helicopter rides; toboggan rides or take off on skis while trying speed riding!

We can look after everyone.

The P’tit Cariboo club takes children from 9mnths to 3 years, The Cariboo Club from 3-13 years and Spirit Ski School from Evolution 2 offers lessons for children at every ski level. Every residence can help with cots, high chairs, baby mats, buggies and booking babysitters. Teens can take part in Back Country courses, junior freeride and racing camps and more!

Where is it?

Arc 1950 is a beautiful mountain village in the French Alps. It was built just 13 years ago so some call it the newest village in the Alps! It sits in the heart of the vast Les Arcs ski area and links in to the Paradiski region (which includes La Plagne) by the enormous Vanoise Express double decker cable car. Find it by plane and transfer from Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble or Lyon airports or fill the car and head down from Calais for a ski drive break.
