  1. Why not recommend the Finistere where French families go for holiday – do take the train to Quimper and from railway station pick the local bus to Benodet that lovely Summer bliss of a town where romantic river Odet meets the deep blue sea flaunting three gorgeous beaches as well as excursions by boat to the protected Glenan archipelago of ever more divine beaches and a famous lobster restaurant. Not forgetting lovely boat cruises up river Odet. Warmly recommend the legendary Grand hotel Abbatiale Benodet with a lovely heated pool spa and sublime restaurant all reasonably priced.
Benodet is beautifully French the family favourite of general Charles de Gaulle in the summers of the 1930″s. Families from Paris love Benodet just as much today.

  2. Thanks for the recommendation, Kerstin. I love Benodet and spent a very happy July 14th there some years ago. A beautiful part of this glorious region!
