  1. I spent a school year in Bergerac, in Dordogne, during 1973-1974. Way long ago! What a beautiful learning experience it was, to live in a school and to speak “American” to my students. I had only a few classes each day, so I was able to explore the beautiful region of this part of la France.

I shall never forget the French people who were always ready to assist me (especially when I did not recognize some of the prized dishes of Le Périgord !). I miss la Belle et Douce even now !
