Les Histoires de Babar

Babar, still in the “nice green suit” in which he first appeared, celebrates his 80th birthday with this exhibit tracing the marvelous adventures of the beloved French pachyderm, from the 1931 L’Histoire de Babar (The Story of Babar) drawn by Jean de Brunhoff, to the just-published Coup de Foudre aux Jeux de Célesteville (Babar’s Célesteville Games) by 86-year-old Laurent de Brunhoff, who took over after his father’s death.
