Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes: Le Coquillage

August 17, 2011

There are few settings in Brittany prettier than the dining room and terrace of renowned chef Olivier Roellinger’s excellent seafood-oriented restaurant at the beautiful Châteaux Richeux hotel, perched on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Cancale—part of the Roellinger complex called Les Maisons de Bricourt. The menu at Le Coquillage follows the local catch-of-the-day, but the shellfish platters and chimney-smoked lobster are standouts.

Route du Mont Saint-Michel, Le Buot, Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes, 02.99.89.25.25. Various fixed-price menus from €26 (weekday lunch) to €130.
